WarpAstron mounts operating in temperature lower to -30°C!
1 WD-20 and 2 WD-17S mounts operating at Beijing, China’s.With the arrived cold air attack. Outdoor temperature dropped to below -25°C.
Mounts left alone operating at night, with -26°C shown by car in the morning. According to user’s feedback, the cooling camera got 0% power with cooling temperature set to -30°C in the midnight(refer to ASIAIR screenshot).
All mounts worked fine during the whole night, no problems for tracking/guiding/slewing. Photos refer to below(Christmas tree nebula).
Due to special servo direct drive harmonic technology, no more belt used in WarpAstron mounts, with powerful servo motor and special structure design. WarpAstron mounts can operate fine in more strictly low temperature environments than any other harmonic mounts with belt/stepper motor.
