On my main pier, I run a standalone PC beside the mount and not a mini PC on the scope. Wonder if anyone who has or knows the WD-20P can confirm if the saddle USB-C passthrough works in this direction. It seems fairly clear from the specs that an OTA mounted mini PC can route through and control the mount. But my need is an external PC to connect to the mount, route through the saddle, and then hook up to a control box on the scope. Thx
What was the result? I will update the manual
The data Type-C port on the saddle designed to provide data pass through connection, the COM serial connection. No USB hub features.
So the data connection can’t be used for external PC connected to PC port on front panel, and no feature for acting as hub to connect all devices on the saddle.
